About us

Our cities are bearing the brunt of the credit crunch and recession but they will lead the UK on the path to recovery.

Urban Hub is a party conference forum for political heavy weights, city leaders, business chiefs, key commentators and the public to come together to debate how UK cities can navigate their way through testing times.  Is it possible to build our way out of recession - and maintain high quality design?  What will happen to plans for 21st century urban transport networks and zero-carbon cities in a zero-growth economy? What will post-recession city economies look like and where will the new jobs come from?

The renewal of our urban centres will dominate the political agenda in the run up to the next general election as answers are sought for how we can help UK cities through recession, and into recovery beyond.

Urban Hub seeks to answer the questions, we need you join the debate.
